I hope you're planning to switch away from Unity soon. Gamers don't want their spyware, and neither should you. There are much better options out there now for your future products. Ditch that sinking ship, your fans will be grateful for it.
If you're married to C# (ie Unity), Unigine is Unity's C# competitor. It's a fully featured, graphically advanced, general purpose, C# scripted engine with game object style layout just like Unity. Unlike Unity, Unigine is 100% free regardless of how you profit from it, except for specific uses which are not relevant to the game industry. Read the license before using it and you'll see what I mean.
If you're interested in breaking away from the microsoft / .net swamp, Godot is a 100% non-proprietary platform originally designed for Linux (meaning it doesn't feed the parasites) with its own powerful scripting language and state of the art memory management. It's also totally open source with nearly zero restrictions on forking or modifying the base code.
Unreal, Unigine, and Godot, are all superior options to Unity for the simple reason that they are holding themselves to a higher standard of integrity. Many long-time unity users have already gone over to one of those. The ones who don't get out now better be good swimmers because Unity is eating it hard. I'll rest easier when I see those crooks reduced to smoldering ruin.
The issue there is more associating with Epic...
So great to see it changed :)
