What I would LOVE is it were something I could have the option to use the trackball on my X-Arcade Tankstick (which is a control like pushing the computer mouse forward). That would make it much like Silver Strike Bowling and the old bowling arcade games.
Once the ball exits the oil, trying to make it spin to where you want it to go is pointless. I have the game on mobile, so I know what I'm expecting as far as controls go on here.
Sounds like the pba mobile game. Its kind of steering but more changing hook. Kinda like in Tiger Woods golf games when you controlled spin after syou hit the ball. I hated that. Any option to turn that off and have to choose hook before you throw? The first line in the description calls this game the best bowling simulation. There's nothing sim about controlling the spin after the balls left your hand lol
I think the devs did showcase exactly what you described on the Twitch stream. You can set power and hook before you throw. I'm not exactly sure how to enable that but it should be one of the options.
Cheers,
Frank
On ps4 we have arcade and sim mode, arcade mode has powerups you can use, like split ball or grenade thats garunteed strike, sim mode is only bowling balls. I dont see any setting to set hook befor the throw, and as of now im a good 40 or 50 so games into the career mode and every game is a complete reset of the match so no oil breakdown or drag, also theres a lot of different oil patterns but i literraly throw the same line, speed and hook on everyone and there is no difference in anything, now the balls do react way different, but oil does not on any pattern
Thanks Frank, it's good to know it will have a simulation mode.
Just wanted to give an official response to this. On PC the Simulation mode has different controls from Arcade mode. These controls are part of the reason why our release was delayed, we had to send the build to Valve a few days later than we planned to (and then they took slightly longer than average to approve it). The new simulation mode controls will be available on the other platforms as soon as possible, but for now it's a PC-only feature.
The new simulation mode controls remove the ball steering (still available for arcade mode), and have you set your power and spin speed before you throw the ball. We will be tweaking them for a better experience going forward.
Please explain how to set the hook on PC - simulation mode.
Thanks
