Oil Patterns are all identical
Every oil pattern "looks" different, but plays exactly the same way. I will have to do more testing on this with more balls, but I can play the same exact line with the same ball on every different pattern and the result is exactly the same. I throw full hook with the Venom, feet just right of fourth arrow (20) and the target just left of 3rd arrow (15) and hits the pocket perfectly on a 33ft pattern as well as a 48 ft pattern. IRL this would definitely not be the case. Not sure if this is an oversight or a programming error but it's a sad thing when you are paying premium currency to unlock a "new" oil pattern which has no actual change to gameplay.

Thank you for reporting this! We had a lot of small physics changes happening right before we launched, and this somehow managed to slip through the gate. We will be putting out a patch soon that should make the oil patterns work correctly.

Any updates on this? I don't want to have to advance too much only for this to be patched.

this needs fixed ASAP. big disapointment if oil patterns are all the same and don't change throughout a game. as it is now you don't have to make adjustments. just stand and throw in one spot all game

here was AMF Xtreme Bowling game on PS2 - it not only has different oil patterns with adjustments of washing off oil from surface like after 30/60 frames but also after every shot during gameplay oil is "scratched" from wood.

We have a fix for the oil patterns being tested right now. There were also some bug fixes for a few controller issues, which are making the testing take a bit longer than expected. The patch will be released as soon as I get the OK from our testers, which shouldn't take more than a couple of days.

I am away from my computer for the week. Just wondering how well this is working now? Can you see a difference in the patterns now? Can some upload a video?
Thanks

I have tryed the new oil pattern fix but the ones below 40 Feet are some very oily just like they are acting like 45-48 feet but are 36-37 feet it is very inrealistic how it can be this way. the 22 and 33 feet are working like its a very short pattern so it sounds very correct.maybe Fine tune the oil patterns please such as the very longest of 48 feet should be insanely oily which meaning not many bowling balls will have a large hook here which should be even possible. all the oil patterns should be very very much redesigned i think so from the very longest oil pattern to the shortest should have a large friction of difference act on the lanes so it should not feels like a very easy house leage pattern when you get 250+ every single game for example.

you'll have to be more specific. I played on half of the patterns pretty extensively and they all seemed to play exactly how I would expect. For example the Shark pattern has a strip of lane that is lighter oil. To the inside is heavier oil and to the outside of the strip is also heavier oil. The ball does react accordingly. I threw some balls up the strip and they hooked right away as I expected. I threw some up the outside oil area and they did not hook until the end of the pattern, just as I would expect.

You could be right, but put exactly what patterns you think aren't working correctly so they can test it and us players can also play more on them and see if we find the same conclusions that you are finding. What pattern? What ball you used? What line you played? etc.

I played with the Track Solid and Game Breaker 2 the dark pearl edition and Storm Lock. most of the time i use the track solid which works like on every pattern except the 33 or 32 feet long that requires to use a ball that is really not reacting early on the dryer firled after the heavier oil at the start during middle play field such as you play it out 20 and try it to go out to 10 then backend in to the pocket with the GB 2 it works rather well with the right combination of power hook rating and performance. my argument was the main part of oil pattern for a big example 36 feet up to 39 feet somehow feels like you play on 42 - 44 feet long then you play on the dragon or weber 45 feet up tothe very longest of 48 feet which shoud make not 1 single ball to be reacting very much on the hook point but in this game i get a likely hook as it was a 37 feet Wolf that we used in real bowling league here in europe several years ago or Scorpion 37. I n oticed at PBA Charter 39 Chameleon 39 and Viper 36 if you play middle like 16-18 in the beginning and at the backend is at 10 to 8 it kicks very slow but steady. at the 48 feet profile and 45 dragon it feels rather like its nothing oil after half the bowling lane is passed and it kicks feels like 34 feet which should be the very opposite.
