Not hijacking.. Adding to bc that is my friend's post and I"m trying to help her and mine is working at least into the 2nd game.. I've not gotten farther bc I'm testing. Tried relaxed mode myself but now trying normal as she tried.
I hope the devs respond and fix the issue. I've played almost all of their other games, and they work fine, and I have been very happy with their games.
I hope we can get an answer soon, so that we can enjoy this solitaire installment :)
I'm hoping the devs will hear us, or someone that knows a work around. :)
I understand that. I tried to help.. but not reproducing it on my end. Just the other issue.
To the people who are having a problem with the game shutting down, it's a rare problem but is normally caused by something (e.g. virus killer) stopping the save file from writing to disk.
Please check out this Technical Support post which has solutions that have been proven to work for some people: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1126470/discussions/0/3201491842015580637/
@XTS Sorry to hear your friend is having that issue, it sounds like a different problem to the original poster's problem because it's too do with changing the screen size. Can you please start a new post about it with the specific steps that cause the issue? Then I can ask the developer to answer (I am the publisher). I believe there might be some .ini file settings or compatibility settings that can be altered which might help. Thanks.
I know it seems strange to some of you that this game has a problem when other games by the dev work fine but they all share the same file system code and the problem is not unique to this game. What happens is that a virus killer sometimes just treats one game in particular as a threat and prevents saving but leaves the other games alone. This is the most common cause. In fact jacques.gareau's reply (in French) says that they turned off their virus killer and the game ran fine.
@XTS I re-read your post and wasn't clear who was getting the issue with the game locking up when changing screen size. If it was you, can you please make a separate post about it with detailed steps to reproduce and I'll get the dev to look at it? Thanks. You can try disabling both McAfee and Malware Bytes because both are absolutely known to cause problems with games (saving data), but if the rest of your game works fine and it's only changing screen size that crashes, then it might be a different issue.
