Cathy... got a comeback?

Hey guys, I'm going through a ♥♥♥ playthrough of mine.

In Cathy's Swyper chat, she asks for a picture of it and uses that to blackmail the other person into not sharing the chat with anyone else or she'll expose the picture to the person's folks.

That got me thinking: what if the Rooster cluck was a... comeback?

Like, she pissed someone off and this gave them an idea to get back at her?

Well, if that's the case, I'd hope she stays off Swyper for a while...

Not a bad theory. Doesn't necessarily have to be a student either. There is some hinting that Stephen may have had a fling with her, in which case he could have worked a deal with Quinn (whom it's pretty clear he's working with) to have her or one of the HOTs set Cathy up and stick it to Jade at the same time. It's pretty obvious that he's drunk on power, is a manipulator, and wouldn't take kindly to anyone having leverage over him. The only unknown in that scenario would be why he'd screw the ▲IKs over to do it.

Edit: Continuing my last thought above, he could be going after the ▲IKs and their house because of the close relationship between Cathy and Rusty.

You are forgetting that screwing over the DIKs without provocation means taking your chances against the Bergmeisters(and the Royces as well, if the MC is on Jill's path). Would Stephen be stupid enough to do that?

Eh, the Royces would be way too recent of any involvement to account for, lets be real about that.

And who knows, maybe Rusty's dad is just sick of his son being in a party frat?

Yeah maybe, but this is much bigger than just a frat. Rusty's been accused of spreading a teacher's nude pic. If he can't effectively defend himself, not only will he be expelled from college, he'll also suffer in his post-college career.

He obviously has money as we see in the news article regarding his generous donations. He also has the backing of some very wealthy donors as evidenced by the "scholarship" program he's running. He may very well want to challenge one, other, or both of the school's founders in a takeover bid.

He may not have had the DIKs as targets, just wanted the photo to appear. The person who did it for him may have had a reason to target the DIKs. Not saying that was Quinn, just that Quinn might have asked someone to post it for her.

I think Tommy and Quinn are involved in this, remember at some point they have a conversation about basically pushing Rusty and Sage aside and doing things their way. Also during a ♥♥♥ playthrough I told Derek about Banging Jade, which meant the video was shown to the DIKS after hell week ended.

Later in S2 during one of the recap's of sorts,(it's not one of the episode recaps) you can see Stephen drinking at his Desk and watching that video. So, either he has access to the ♥♥♥'s latop, or someone from the DIKS sent him that video. ( When you look in the Laptop in E6 you can see that video is one of the files for hell week, with that PT setup, so it clearly was not deleted...). After all who is a bigger ♥♥♥ then Tommy? Then again it could be all Quinn... She does like to ♥♥♥♥ with people heads.

**forgot to finish my full train of thought... "I think" it's Ultimately Stephen who is behind the Cluck as payback for her maybe ending their Affair (we don't know that for sure yet obviously) and that he used Tommy or Quinn to plant it on the Laptop during the Party.

It has already been well established that if you show the video to the DIKs then it reaches Burke, otherwise it doesn't.
And the recap you mean is the EP6 recap. You can try it with everything the same, just don't show the video during the evaluation(i.e. keep it a secret in the Derek scene) and you'll know that it won't reach Burke.

Tommy is as pissed with the whole turn of events as any other ♥♥♥, and he would never do to Rusty what the poster of that cluck does. Remember that Tommy is the VP of the DIKs, and this could have caused the end of the fraternity. Why would he want to tear down his own fraternity?

And, Tommy and Quinn don't have a conversation about pushing Rusty and Sage away - they have a conversation about switching out the alphas for the DIKs. But since the HOTs have a longstanding tradition with the alphas, it won't be easy to do. All Tommy says is that whatever he(Tommy) decides, Rusty is cool with, so it's as if Tommy is in charge of the DIKs' decisions.

And "pushing them aside" is how I read into their conversation, You played AC so you damn well know we don't have all the facts are meant to be kept guessing until its revealed, was also well aware that by that not showing Derek means that it doesn't get back to Stephen, but thanks for that Captain Obvious...

That's not going to happen. Remember that Cathy chose to deal with Rusty herself since she was personally affronted, and she let him off the hook. She spared him from going before the entire disciplinary committee so there would be no further consequences for him.

Dawe, on the other hand, should get the shaft for openly spreading fliers of the pic around.

I think the Prep party was just a financial decision by Sage. Quinn not telling the ΔIK's just seems to fit in with her "I don't give a F" attitude.

The night the Cathy cluck went out, if you call Sage, the scene shows her walking by the brick fence of the Prep's mansion. Obviously she was there setting up the party with her brother. Quinn was at the ΔIK's party. I don't believe there was any nefarious intention there. Simply a financial decision.

The only real connection Sage has with the Alpha's is Chad. As we all know that is souring. Also Chad is no longer with the Alpha's so that further severs the HOT's/Alpha connection. More so because Sage is not going to want to hang out with Alpha's anymore.

If you look at the HOT's party when the Alpha's are there, very few of the HOT's are hanging out with Alpha's. Most are annoyed with them being there. Ashley and Mel, being really the only one's hanging out with Alpha's.

I totally believe that's why Cathy jumped ahead with the class syllabus's in the English and Math classes. Dawe would be the one most affected by that. The MC and Derek, her "favorite students" would take the increase in difficulty in stride. Dawe on the other hand would fail miserably. He can't seem to grasp the standard work let alone advancing the difficulty of the lessons. I believe she suspects that the Alpha's (or Dawe himself) might have had something to do with the cluck. Her little revenge.

Don't forget the change of room after Cathy left. Obviously she made sure he didn't get the memo. I had a good laugh when he was sitting on his own in the old classroom.
