Season 2 Thoughts [obviously spoilers]
Two or three years since season 1, or something like that, and after all that anticipation I can safely say that this is not what I was expecting. I should have known that this wasn't the end, but all of my instincts were telling me that this season was going to rip my heart out and serve it to me on a silver platter with a cup of my tears for a side dish. For those who have played Acting Lessons, I'm sure you're aware how PinkCake can do that.

My view on the story
I came into season 2 having told Maya and Josy that we would try for something more. I stayed with Sage after I left Maya's dorm and became ♥♥♥♥ buddies with her. I had gone out with Jill but have not pursued anything with her because I play this game as if I was actually in these situations (meaning I'm not trying to collect all the sex scenes in one go).

So, how did all of this work out? Well, pretty damn well I think. As I said I didn't do much with Jill and she wasn't even an option when I was choosing who I wanted to be with in episode 8. But I must say, there was staunch competition between Sage and M&J. At first in season 1 I got closer to Sage because I was in that mindset of just wanting to collect as many sex scenes as possible, but staying with her after Josy came to campus was really eye opening. My previous thoughts on Sage just being a ditsy sorority girl with one hell of a sex drive were flipped on their head when I found out Sage is a very intelligent, very mature, and tough love sorta girl. I don't know about you, but this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hot as ♥♥♥♥. As I spent more and more time with her, she slowly began to be equal with Maya in my head, as I set it early on that Maya was the one I was going to stay with.

Throughout the course of season 2, I balanced between the duo and Sage, helping them out whenever they needed me to and of course having fun with them whenever I could. But when it came down to actually choosing between them, I had to go with Maya and Josy. The reasons that PinkCake gave in the dialogue were ok, but in my mind, such a relationship with Sage would not work well. A graduating college senior being with a freshman? Two people in two completely different transitional periods in their lives? For me, that is not a solid foundation for a relationship. And Sage took the news very well anyway, so I really do feel like I made the right choice even though I did tell her I wanted to explore our feelings. As it goes for Maya and Josy, I lean towards Maya, as personally Josy is a little bit too basic for my type and honestly I do want to be there for Maya and her issues. I'm saying that because I have a best friend who has her own really bad problems with family, and all I want to do is just be a good friend for her, so I can relate to the situation between the player-character and Maya. Lastly, one reason I could have gone for Sage was because Maya was too iffy about sex, but the dorm party proved me oh so wrong on that account.

As for the ending, I don't know what to make of it. I don't know how different the endings are if there are multiple endings, but the one I got was where Sage takes Maya and Josy to her home to talk about Maya and we find out that she is of the same family as Tybalt and Jade (I guess) . This is for the Troubled Road achievement. As for my thoughts on it, I can't say much. Anything can happen, and I'm not going to make assumptions on things that I really cannot predict. Do I think it will end well? There will definitely be some questions that need answering, but I don't think this plot twist is as bad as the one in Acting Lessons.

Me gushing about PinkCake's writing skills
The dialogue is immaculate. Outstanding. It could be a movie script and I wouldn't know otherwise. It's funny, it's hot, it's intelligent, the scenes can build tension, they give you so much insight on a character's emotions, oh my god, it's just really excellent writing all the way around. To be fair, I do have my criticisms. As a college student, this is not what college is like by any stretch of the means. This college fits in more with a High School musical from 2004, but I could see how that was an intentional design choice to make the heightened scale of drama, exaggeration, and comedy better. I also feel like some of the dialogue sounds too much like PinkCake and not like the characters. Sometimes some characters can say phrases or words that just don't fit with their personality.

And I can't forget to praise PinkCake's 3D design skills. Not only am I impressed with the detail of skin textures, but also the lighting, animations, gestures, and body language, is on par with truly professional work.

Season 2 is. . . wholsome?
This is what confused me the most. Season 2's drama really wasn't that bad. I mean, compared to how Acting Lessons ended, I don't feel like I'm going into depression, which was not what I was expecting. I know this is not the end of the story, so it makes sense that the drama was not too bad.

Maya's dad is holding her college experience hostage, we kinda already knew this. Chad broke up with Sage, this was always going to happen. Maya freaked out on Quinn and left the HOTs, again, knew this was going to happen and in the end it didn't even create that much drama anyway. Like, this is all pretty menial stuff. The vast majority of season 2 was pretty damn wholesome. My relationships with the girls only got better and I was laughing way more than I was being sad. Honestly, most of the drama came from trying to pick the right choice.

The worst part about this though, is that I made a rule that I wasn't going to replay and get all the sex scenes before the story is over because it ruins the impact of the primary save's story when I know how everything else could have happened. So I have to wait. . .

Acting Lessons turned to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the second to last episode if I remember correctly, rest of the game was as wholesome as it gets. Drama will be shipped in full somewhere in season 3 or 4, I believe.

Oh, and I bet someone must die for sure. Prolly Quinn or Riona, they basically have targets painted on their back.

Yeah Acting Lessons' ending made me genuinely sad for about a week, like, it took a while for me to get it off my mind. Didn't help that I got a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending where I ended up with no one lol

I agree, knowing PinkCake. Even back in season 1 I was saying someone was going to get killed off. If its Quinn, that might actually be a good thing, Riona though, idk I like her, she's nice. If its any of the main girls, I don't know if I'll be able to recover

Glad my main PT is a Massive ♥♥♥, there were a few gut punch moments but I have a feeling that Chick players are going to get their major blindsiding next season.

I was amused by this, because I expect it’ll be the major D play throughs that will get hit with the sledge hammer. Of course, if there’s a real AL moment it’ll be main story related, and everyone will suffer equally.

I got perma neutral. I was a huge D in season 1 but when I started making choices as how I would in real life that moved up to neutral over the course of season 2. Also I feel like those affinities are linked to the main girls, and I can't imagine D is for Maya

The girls have different tolerances to a range of affinities. Some have preferred ones. Some affinities will cause a rejection. This is hinted at in the games description in the store

For me since the release of season 2 I started fresh with new saves. It had been a while since I did season 1. My Sage run I was a massive ♥♥♥ and by the end of season 2 it was nearly neutral but not quite. Jill's and MJ runs were chick through and through with some minor ♥♥♥ choices. So... yeah not wrong in that assessment.
