"initially happy to be her ♥♥♥♥ buddy" Really? I thought he made it a very clear point before he agrees that he thinks it could start a relationship and only after she says do you want this sex or not does he agree. That doesn't seem like being happy, that seems like being used so he just took the sex as all he could get.
My god she just gets worse.
Josy is a codependent nympho.
Maya is starved for the affection/attention she never got.
Bella is cold and has a lot of baggage.
Sage is a frustrated young woman.
Quin is broccoli with many florets to be stripped away.
All of the girls are flawed or broken in some way and that is part of the beauty of this game and why so many players get so invested in it. Metaphorically speaking, the mechanics out there can fix a car (Josy), the engineers can fix a bridge (Maya), the artist/musicians can fix a piano (Jill), the cardiologist can fix a heart (Sage), the psychologist can fix a mind (Bella). And the conspiracy theorist among us can replay it 100+ times looking for that one piece of evidence that ties everything together (Quin) lol
I won't argue that Josy is a Nympho, its what I like and don't like about her. But codependent? If she showed the MC some love then yeah, or even the little amount of sweet things Maya says but all she does he say some sweet things and want to bang.
Or are you saying her form of codependece is her banging a lot?
Ah a very good point. I just think that fact gets overshadowed by the fact that she doesn't show a lot of emotional love. Wouldn't that fit in better? Like if she wants to keep you and always gives you sex wouldn't she also try or even force/pretend to give you that love too?
Maybe she is like sage in some ways, they have a hard time connecting about their feelings. They are well made. Ive dated a few girls that use banging as their form of love/emotional stuff and while it may seem cool at first its a dark road the further you go which is what I think we are going to see more of, problems with showing love from both Josy and Sage.
Its not my cup of tea, a bit too much like real life.
The party scene is the perfect example of both for Maya and Josy. Both beautiful and show a form of love but nothing is actually said. Now this might be just a great writing buildup which yeah sadly I think it is but weren't you waiting for Josy to say something loving in that scene?
What made it even worse is that others around you see it and talk about it. I know progress it being made but it just seem bad to sleep with someone and not be in a relationship with them yet even with the holding back emotions for the time which don't get me wrong was good advice it just seems like she has nothing to give.
Maya does give so much in that scene, unlike Josy she does say a few sweet things even someone who is not into banging a lot take a huge step with you, but after or even before all that not a single word about love?
Not showing love in public is one thing, even though Maya actually does start to. But not even being about to say the words to each other? It was my favorite and most hated scene of the game. It took you to the edge of the cliff, then just left you there.
They just seem terrible when it comes to talking. My god even sage can talk about her feelings more, she doesn't want you in that way now and she just feels horny and want to bang, honest at least...
Hey I found something good to say about Sage!
It did say it all but nothing was actually said. So the cliff and the edge still loom over it. Even Maya does a bit more. If nothing is said and agreed on then they can just keep playing this game and someone is going to get hurt which of course will happen.
Would it have been better if something was said? Yes and no. I think with Josy MAYBE you could get away with the look saying it because she doesn't talk like that.
With Maya even though she is opening up slowly and it makes sense for her now to say it yet I still think it would have been better if she would have said something because of the 2 she is the one that says loving things.
In the end I think the important question was not was it good or bad that the said anything I think the far more important point is that nothing was officially said. At least in Terms of Maya. I'll give it to you that it fits with Josy even though I would have liked it if she said something.
Arg It just speaks to Maya being very well written. And the best thing to do is always leave the crowd wanting more. I can't hate on it as much as Id like to. Its just so interesting to see the art play out. I have no doubt we will be seeing some amazing growth from her. I hope the other get some of that was well.
Sage is the most realistic of all the mains.
In college, I knew girls like Sage: parties and doesn't seem to really care about school on the surface, but is smarter and deeper than you'd think. And Sage's ending seems rather plausible... going down that route, you basically sleep with her several times over usually. So it would be kinda odd to have some, big over-the-top moment for the ending by that point.
Honestly, Sage is a sort of normal, realistic relationship. Which maybe does fall flat in a fictional setting where you'd like to see more fantasy to it all.
But that ending with Sage is the most realistic and plausible, for me, of any of the main girls, because it's not some Shakespearean melodrama (Jill-iet, Tybalt, and the Romeo allusions) nor is it something that just doesn't make sense (neither Josy nor Maya would probably end up with the MC in actual college situations given the triangle dynamic there, and Bella's personality and career would probably get in the way for romancing her).
TL;DR - Sage is perhaps a touch boring for a fictional world with a lot of zany moments, but her ending resonates the most for me because that's what actually happens a fair amount of the time in college.
