Collected all special renders of both seasons, but achievement for season 2 isn't collected
After some problems with finding the last render, and doing some setback in order to be able to re-obtain certain renders, I have finally found and unlocked all renders. Sadly it hasn't unlocked the last achievement I need to 100% the game. I have tried a lot of different solvings, as spoken about on the discussion pages, but can't seem to fix it. Am I doomed, and will it not be unlocked, leaving me at 97/98 achievements and the last one being unobtainable or is there a solution? help would be very welcome.

Please check your Stats app and verify that it shows that every render has been found, etc.
If every stat is at 100%, check this (#6-7):

I can confirm that it shows that every render has been found. Next to that I have applied problem solve #6 and #7 twice yesterday, without a positive result.

I reset back to when it wasn't completed yet, missing a render in episode 5 and episode 8, twice as well, to then start a completely new playthrough. Both times it still didn't unlock after getting the renders to complete the collection.

Did you modify the game files somehow? Mods/Translations etc.

No I have not. The only thing I have done, was make a backup from my 'persistent' file before I found the renders, and send this to discord for me to download later on. Then I deleted it out of the roaming and the properties. I had steam cloud disabled with this. and followed all through solve #6 and #7. These didn't work.

Now all I can think about is that I maybe will have to delete the persistent file and completely re-obtain all 309 renders for it to unlock. but since that will take quite some time, I want to know if playing with the added 'persistent' file after I opened it without it, closed steam and the game. Then I added it back to the folders and reopened the game so it was just missing the ones again.

If you click the discord link from in-game, you can send the persistent file (with all unlocked renders) to any admin/moderator on my server and I can take a look at it.

Based on the info you've provided me, my conclusion is that your persistent file seems botched somehow. Perhaps a mismatch between steam cloud, local save folder and roaming folders caused it, or a game crash at some point.

If this is the case, the only way to fix it is sadly to replay with a fresh persistent file.
I would say that you could add the "botched" persistent file back after unlocking the achievement, if you want to restore the galleries etc. But that's your call.

Send me the file through Discord if you want me to verify your problem with it.

I have send it to an admin of your server, and asked for it to be given to you. Thank you in advance for taking a look at it, and the help. Either lmk on discord, steam dm's or in this discussion what the final conclusion is. Thank you!

I checked your file. This is what I saw:

1. You didn't have the achievement unlocked for finding all S2 renders, as you said.
2. All criteria to see those renders checked out. Meaning, I could trigger the function and get it to unlock the achievement on my end.
3. I cannot see the following: If you had console enabled or developer mode enabled. Both of which disables achievements and are modifications of the game files as I asked you previously.

Since it worked on my end, it leads me to believe that you have an enabled console, but you said you didn't.

How to fix it:

1. Open the game in one episode 7 or 8 with the new phone. Open the Stats app once. Achievement should unlock immediately, as all criteria in a non-modified game are met.

2. If 1. doesn't work, make a backup of your save files and wipe the installation directory. Manually remove any traces of files in the steam install folder. Make a fresh install of the game. Put your save files back into it. Try 1 again. It should work now.

Cheers!

Thanks for the quick reply. As far as I am aware of, I haven't enabled console or developer mode, nor modified my game on purpose, so I will try your second solution. I have completely redownloaded the game before, and then put in the persistent file again, but that didnt seem to work back then. I will try it once again, deleting everything in the save files and crossing my fingers it will work this time. Thanks for checking it out!

To add to this, the achievements that I got in the hours leading up to these problems did still unlock so somewhere in between there has to have been a moment, where I apparently have enabled something then. Thats all I can think about.

It took me around another hour, but finally managed to have the backup files correctly in place, in both the steam map and the appdata > roaming. It eventually did indeed work, so you're help has been much appreciated!:steamhappy:

Glad it worked and that you didn't have to replay! Cheers
