It's the best choice if you aren't attracted to any of the main girls. Otherwise, it will stop you from getting a relationship with them. I haven't done an "others" playthrough yet though. It's the last thing that remains for me to try.

Wouldn't mind betting that picking others means you'll still get somewhere with the main girls.

The power of this game is that you have choices. I wouldn't say that any of those choices are "the best", because all of them have their appeal. But, I would NOT say that "others" is better than Sage, Jill, Bella, or JM.

I've played through this game so many times I've lost count. I'm just ruminating on what might happen in the third season and what might be the best choice at the end of episode 8.

Not sure where you thought I was expecting to bang Cathy in season 2. I clearly meant to get a run at her in season 3.

Nothing wrong with others if you don't mind fooling around with side girls. Just remember, each of the main girls has a dedicated arc all to themselves. Others is shared by a ton of girls, so they are each going to get a fraction of attention. So, your choice of full entre or small side dish.

Well Cathy does leave B&R by the end of S2 so who knows. She does still have 2 levels of the 2D art to unlock so probably safe to assume she shows back up at some point

Different people will enjoy different things about them, I wouldn't say there's a clear "best choice"

Maybe, but my original post specifically mentioned a run at Cathy. I guess that would be harder/not possible if you picked one of the other options.

Cathy is a side-girl and all side-girls are with the Others branch... So, you have a choice of a MG branch or Others. Whether DPC allows any mixing is to be seen. Given how MC shuts down some of the others after choosing a main, it seems less likely.

Others seems to be non-committal path (MGs seem to be commit to a relationship). So, Cathy is just one of many on others.

I have tried to play through and only go for the non-main girls (Quinn and her tarts, the strippers and Jade & Cathy), but its really difficult to turn all the others down, especially Sage who is basically permanently gagging for it.

Before I deleted and reloaded the game (for reasons) I had playthroughs of all the MGs in all their possible affinities, monogamous or not, along with a broad selection of side girls.
My transfer save screen was filled and I was saving other playthroughs just short of the end to have more possible season 3 runs.

I admit I was a bit obsessed with the game for many months. (Over 600 hours.)
