2) After you downloaded S3, you can reduce your pledge to the Mini ♥♥♥ ($ 5.00/month) tier to get access the S3 new Eps only as a patch of your current S3 game (in other words, you CAN'T start in this tier because you need access to the S3 base game granted to you by the ♥♥♥ tier first and then in this MiniDIK tier get the new Eps when they're released)
DPC and Steam agreed to this price so Patreon doesn't have an unfair price advantage compared with the Steam version.
3) You can transfer your end of S2 game from Steam and play directly what has been completed (Interlude, Ep 9 and Ep 10 as the date of this post) of the S3 Patreon version with this game (in other words, you DON'T need to play the Patreon version of S1/S2 to continue your S2 save from Steam)
If you want you can also drop your pledge to the lowest tier ($ 1.00/month) after getting the S3 current version. This gives you access to the weekly progress updates, then raise your pledge to MiniDIK tier again when the new Ep is close to launch and get the patch only.
S3 is in progress, so there is no single contribution. Minimally, you have to contribute at each ep release (albeit it at a lower tier than the full S1/S2). Maintaining some contribution between releases at any level grants you other benefits best not discussed here. This is Steam.
Again, approach Patreon as supporting the creator's ongoing work, not buying a game.
Patreon here we go!!!
To add to what was already posted, the final save at the end of season 2 can be transferred to Season 3, so you can do the jump from Steam over. You do have the option to get the Patreon version of Seasons 1 and 2 as well, but that is available at the $25 tier on Patreon. Because you can transfer from Steam, there isn't a NEED for the Patreon version of seasons 1 and 2 if you have them on Steam.
Now, the guide for season 3 is at the $15/month tier. So if you want the guide, it's the extra $5(if you only do it for one month).
Those 12 $ were well worth it!
And for those that are undecided I recommend you support the author even if its just 1$ per month! It is a low amount but it is a very well spent one.
