First, If the MC is in a relationship with Sage. I think her parents (especially Jade) are going to be more apt to agree to helping Maya if he is in a relationship with Sage. The MC is both in a relationship with their daughter, and a member of the ΔIK's. Both of them would know that the ΔIK's are run by one of the children of the founding families. The Burgmeister's.
Also something to think about is if the MC was fooling around with Jade and broke it off to be with Sage, I believe Jade will look at that as a positive. He broke off his relationship with Jade to be with her daughter. That will make her feel like he is trying to do the right thing by Sage. That's a good thing.
Second, If the MC is in a relationship with Jade. If the MC is banging Jade, I think that she would side with her daughter to support Maya. This is a friend of both her daughter and the guy Jade is fooling around with on the side.
Third, If the MC is dating Jill. If the MC is dating Jill that would put a second child of a founding family on his side. Both the Burgmeister's & Royce's. Rusty and Jill. That would carry a lot of weight with the Burke's. Add the fact that the MC is also friends with Sage. I doubt that the Burke's would want to put themselves in a position that's at odds with someone that's friendly with both children of the founding families. Even if it is at the expense of their son.
There are also a few negative situations that could come with this meeting as well.
First, If the MC used the video to complete the hell week list. Stephen will have seen the video and know that his wife is banging the MC. If this is the situation, I think that Stephen will right out refuse to help Maya. Even if the MC is in a relationship with Jade, I don't believe she will be able to persuade Stephen to acquiesce.
I think this could be the worst of all the situations, because it will put the MC at odds with both the Burke's. Stephen with undoubtedly throw the video proof in Jade's face, proving she can't trust the MC.
Second, If the MC dumped Jade to be with someone other than Sage. If this is the case, I think that Jade will be against them helping Maya as her way of revenge against the MC.
Third, Stephen could use the situation to try and creep on Maya. If he does agree to give Maya the grant, he could try and use that to force Maya into sexual encounters by holding that over her head.
If this happens I think that it will end badly for Stephen. If Maya should tell either Sage, Josy or the MC that Stephen is trying to force her into sex, it will blow up in his face. If the MC finds out , he could tell Rusty and/or Jill and that would bring down the founding families on Stephen. If Sage finds out and tell her mother, Jade will probably threaten to out Stephen. Either way it would not end well for Stephen.
I truly believe that the end result of the meeting with the Burke's is going to be heavily influenced by the past choices of the MC.
I think that each of the previous choices of the MC will have a certain amount of weight one way or the other. Depending how the previous events weigh will determine how the Burke's decide.
