Is the art in this "totally original" or made using a third party character creator?
I know a lot of indie 3DCG Visual Novel games tend to use third party apps and games such as Illusion games (like HoneySelect or Koikatsu Party) or similar types of apps, generally with lots of mods to create the CG scenes for their games. I'm not quite adept enough at spotting this or knowing the history of this game developer, so I was curious if anyone could comment to say whether this game uses completely original renders or if it uses borrowed assets from character creation software/games or model repositories? Either way it's an impressive game with great posing and a lot of work put into it's visuals, but as a game developer myself I am always curious to learn more about the behind the scenes.

The assets are from https://www.daz3d.com/shop/ but pretty much all characters have been changed so you won't see stock characters (at least not ones that are part of the story).

So they import the image into Blender or similar and edit them to their liking ?

I can tell you right away that one of the characters is a pure copy of another main character from another game.
