Saves & Guides Not working
I have season 1 and played through it until the end, just got season 2, now I don't have an option to pick up where I left off and the save I had at the end is gone and just have one in the middle of my game as well as neither guide seems to work now by using "g" at all.

Something I've seen being suggested here is restarting Steam. See if it works for you.

yeah I've done that about 4 times, tried starting with Admin as well and restarted my laptop as well. No luck, still notta on both issues.

Your saves should be there since the game has cloud saves, as for the guide does anything happen when you press g? Make sure your shift key isn't active

nope however if I hit shift and g then I get some menu with some options but nothing related to the guides. And I understand cloud saves but I have issues from time to time with steam cloud saves not being there or being corrupted or something, just didn't think I'd have an issue with this type of game.

Right click your game in the library > properties > dlc make sure the guides are checked.

yes, they are.

If you are getting some other unrelated options, you are using Shift-G (brings up renpy's renderer option screen). You need to use lowercase g to pop the guides. Be sure capslock, etc. are not enabled.

yeah I know I was just saying that plain old "g" doesn't do anything and shift "g" pulls up that render menu.

Can you see the "Guide" button in the bottom left quick menu?

Nope it's not there

doing a game files scan now to see if that does anything

Can you do the following:
1. Right click the game in the library and choose browse local files
2. Check if you see a file named "walkthrough_season2.rpa" in the "game" folder.
3. If it is there, the guide is installed. Please note, you can only access the Season 2 guide if you are playing Episode 5-8. If you're playing Episodes 1-4 the game will search for the Season 1 guide instead.

fund 125 files out of place or whatever the message was I'm hoping it fixed them didn't say it did

I'm not in season 2 yet as my saves for the end of season 1 weren't there so starting somewhere in the middle-ish of season 1 but the guide for season 1 isn't even working there either.

I do see the one for season 2 but not season 1, in the DLC part of the menu of the game it shows season 1 guide installed as well and in the DLC in steam they are both checked.

Can you see walkthrough_season1.rpa in the "game" folder in the installation directory?
