Her comment at dinner about her mother living close by further built that belief. When Josy arrives at college there is a scene in the library where the two of them meet. There were no hugs or what would be normal greetings as would be normal between a child and parent. It kind of cooled the idea that they were actually mother and daughter.
I believe the locked room in Bell's house is actually a spare room for her daughter. Josy.
We don't see the whole interaction between the two of them. We walk in mid interaction between the three of them, it could have been prior to when the scene starts.
But then I thought that it might be because Bella has some level of resentment towards her for deciding to stay with her father. (She says in her conversation with the MC she preferred her father). May have been why she is noncommittal towards Josy.
For the same reason, I am thinking I might have to seperate my Jill and Maya / Jocy saves because Jill may not be okey with me being in a polyamory relationship...
