Is there a way to summon the arrow for the crossbow?

Title. I just got the cross bow and the fact that you have to wait so long and get so close to get the arrow back makes it so inferior to the knife which you can yeet into the darkness over and over rapidly.

There's an upgrade that makes it so the arrow comes back faster & another one that makes it so when you kill an enemy with the dagger it comes back instantly
