Actualy, you're a bit wrong about the rogue genre.
Rogue "lite" is game like Rogue Legacy, where you can permamently upgrade your stats/hero.
Rogue "like" is a game where you always start with nothing. Some may have very small bonus for future run but nothing game changing. You can also unlock new stuff for future runs, so game like Binding of isaac or Enter the gungeon.
Not trying to be rude, but i feel like i need to be precise.
The anvil is unlocked after beating the final boss the first time. The crossbow is unlocked after finding 2 journal pages (except the cartographer ones, they do not count towards that). The first few journal pages should randomly appear in the first dungeons. Normally you can find one each playthrough.
No no, I get it, now; the purpose isn't for your character to get stronger. You're supposed to just get better at playing the game, which actually is totally fair.
Ya word dude! I'll just jump 5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ feet across my tiny room while wrapped up in my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ oculus cable
I'm not confusing anything and have a ton of experience playing "rogue" style games. B2 VR is terrible.
