We'll investigate.
It could also help to have the leader board within game too that people could view anytime to see how they are doing or did if it a one time submission.
It doesnt help that a lot of times every AI just allies with each other and when the eventual Hittite war starts, every AI pushes their "surrender against ally" grievance.
I feel like nobody actually tested this abomination, even though its pretty easy to fix:
1. Give the player space to expand and place the spawn in a better location, so that you cant reach the developed enemy capital in Turn 3 (like how it is right now)
2. Create good spots on the map to build the first city. Right now every territory where you can place your city is either undefended plains or hills with terrible yields.
3. Heavily reduce production costs for the player. Even if you have founded a city on hills, its pretty difficult to defend something if you havent had the chance to place down more than two quarters,
Thats basically it. Although I would argue that having to externally download a save and copy it into the game files is very unprofessional. Just add it to the game normally like Civ6, which gives the ability to patch the scenario without having to constantly create community posts with a link attached to it.
I mean, you have +10 science on research quarter and influence on commons for catch up mechanics. All you have to do is farm some population with nomads, and convert them to warriors (scouts join city) to survive the early game.
In the current shape this scenario makes no sense
LOL
I can't get the song Against All Odds out of my head now
(But it's the Mariah Carey vers).
BTW I can save, also autosaves work.
So I'm not having that problem at least.
He then declared war again 2 turns later to take back the 5 territories I claimed from him in the peace treaty.
At the same time orange landed muskets next to my capital (impossible to kill even 1 with Promachoi).
I begged orange for vassalage, nope.
I begged green for vassalage, YEP. This saved my capital.
He only had 1 territory claim (he could have asked for all 5 back)
Now I'm in the mid classical with 9 territories, 4 cities (turn 90) and ramping up yields from on all the free resources I'm getting from green.
Green has since lost 2 of the 3 alliances and might get into a war.
I'll try to stick with green as long as possible and collect fame along the way.
The game won't end from science or pollution so I just need to get about 15k fame and vassalize everyone once I reach the last era.
