This game desperately needs an actual bug fix.
This game has been out for almost 4 years now, we've had time to see 3 culture packs, 2 small dlc and one (admitedly mediocre) full size expansion. You'd think that in all this time the bugs that were present since day 1 would have been solved. Yet they are not.

You'd think that in a turn based game, the actual turns, would work seeing as they're the most essential part of the game. Yet here I am having to reload saves because turns are pending forever, something that happens since the game's launch. Here I am getting stucked because two AIs on the other side of the map somehow got stuck in a fight together and stop me from going to the next turn. Which can't even be solved by using a turn timer since it doesn't end combats because why would you want a turn timer that ends the turn.

And seeing how much you have to rely on loadings saves you would at least hope that that would work, i mean saving has been one of the most vital components of video games for the past century, so surely in a long format 4X game, a genre in which you're expected to play a single game over multiple session the save system would work. And yet it doesn't, I still get "operation canceled" messages when trying to load a save, something that has been happening for at least the past 3 years.

Seriously this game is amazing but i don't think that in the +150 hours i've played of it i've ever been able to play a full game without at least one game breaking bug stopping me.

The devs haven't put out a single official statement in 6 months, and while i'd like to believe their replies in some of the threads in here, it's kinda difficult to believe that they're working on anything worth while when we haven't even got a playable game 4 years after release.

I sincerely hope that we'll get a proper fix, the one that should have been put out day one, so that we can actually enjoy this gem one day.

Regarding the pending turns, actually we have solved a lot of those problems, it is not 1 thing that can cause that, so I will need more info on your particular case. Are you using mods?

On regards to the future, as mentioned in a couple of threads (the one you are implying), we are working on the next update, but I cannot share much details for the moment.

I am sorry you have a bad experience.

I wouldn't say i've had a bad experience, quite the opposite, I love this game, i wouldn't have over a hundred hours in it otherwise. I just wish i could play it without having to stop halfway trough and reload a save because of a bug, that is when saves work. I've played both competely unmodded and with the few usual mods (VIP, super pack, additional mechanics, sometimes Villages updated) and have had bugs with boths, but bugs don't seem that much more common with mods.

I wouldn't complain about it if it was just a mod issue.

And while i'm sure that some bugs have been fixed, the AIs getting stuck in combat with each others or with the player has been happening for years

I didn't encountered myself those problems of AI getting stack that much (i think only once or two?). On the question about the mods I asked as sometimes could be related, depends a lot on the mod.

But still sad that you encounter some of those problems.

btw talking of mods, any chance we're ever getting a rimworld style dev console ? It'd be a great help when preparing modpacks and finding out which mods might cause problems during the gameplay
