Oof, really? Damn, I've been taking down 50-100 pop cities across every game like popcorn. If every 1 pop = 1,000 I've gotta be breaching 1 Milli pops by now... O_O
The AI seems incredibly oblivious to it tho. I usually end the game by nuking everyone who isn't a vassal and the AIs seem pretty oblivious to that as well. They MIGHT be vexxed after I've just nuked all of their cites off the map. Odd reaction.
Perhaps there could be a way to force Vassalage without war? When I'm running twenty 8 stacks of Attack Helicopters and they're still using muskets or something? Idk. I usually play all my games as All Players Vassalized. It's uncomfortable for me to have to turn on my allies to win, so now I've just been quitting and starting a new game. Maybe the option could be changed to All Players Vassalized or Allied?
It's especially uncomfortable to turn against the Pacificist or the Asian girl or other steadfast and loyal allies... It just feels bad.
Maybe there could be some residual science effects from trade? It's seems odd for me to be using riflemen while they're still sporting like musketmen or something. Or maybe a blackmarket could be added where technology and weapons will slip out no matter what?
Maybe something like Right to Bear arms could be a potential cultural decision, and then with the Right to Bear arms, Conscription coupled with the Right to Bear arms could mean that militias and conscripts are automatically riflemen? The AI seems to really have a tough time making war against pure production builds, even when they have really large cities.
Conscription could give pure food builds the ability to compete directly with pure production builds, even tho pure production builds will still obviously have a competitive advantage in almost every way.
