State of game, post updates
Do updates over last 6 months boost gameplay? Prior to that I enjoyed playing somewhat but recall some things holding it back that I can't now remember what they were. So I went out and bought Civ 7 Founder's edition, the single most worst game purchase ever and cannot begin to describe what a hot mess it is. I really liked all previous civ titles so I don't know how they could get it so wrong. Anyways, back to topic, what's your take on Humankind in it's current form? I also have Old World and considering reinstalling that too. Which would you choose? For the sake of space I'm only going to reinstall one of them.

I tested Humankind after playing CIV VI then IV and V again, and overall Humankind feels nice but unbalanced. There are features that are unacceptable like:
- Civilizations discovering the "new world" so quickly.
- Civilizations roaming around yout territory freely because they have whatever trait that allows them to do that, resulting in every other civilization discovering your own territory since they will trade maps.
- "Friendly" civilizations entering your territory without warning and capturing your cities without warning again.
- Coastal civilizations beeing so weak as compared to mountain civilizations that gain advantage from termendous production.
- So many useless notifications that you have to close the damn thing.
- Enemies using YOUR CITIES AND FORTS as a base for attack depending on where the attack begins.

Now here are the positive features:
- The AI can properly attack you and will attack you unlike Civ VI AI that is unable to do anything.
- Great cultures like the Cubans, stealth mechanics and more interesting combat overall.
Its a fantastic game but it can get unbalanced and wonky after you invest a few dozen hours and really notice it. Its a really good 4x tho otherwise, I could get into it but having played Civ 4-6, this sits above 6 but behind 5 because theres just a lack of depth after 500 hours of gameplay.

It just so happens I have about 500 hours of gameplay, but none of it recent. I am hoping there have been improvements over time. I'll give it another try. Last decent game in this genre that had me hooked was civ 5. Civ 6 has a horrible AI, especially air and sea compared to 5, and Civ 7 is a total wipeout. Old World isn't bad but lacks the building a civ kinda feel.
Theres more ai avatars, its a nice plus
