I hope this isn't a silly question! I had seen this already. I don't have an EGS account, I do all my games on Steam. I like Civ-type games, but I won;t be paying to buy HK anyway. I can't decide whether it's even worth my setting up an EGS account just to get this game?! Based on a cross-section of the reviews and comments I read here which seem to suggest to me it is not very good? I have EL (and ES2), I don't think I want to play HK if it's just EL.

"Humankind" is very fun. You will be missing out if you dont pick it up on EGS imo. As for similarities with EL and ES - cant say I I did not play those games.

you should just get a EGS account and collect the free games weekly even if you don't play them.

You don't need to download the launcher, you can log into EGS through your web browser and claim the game.

Even getting it for free I don't think I want to play it. I don't bother with games that can't get their game good enough to reflect it in their reviews even after 3 and a half years. It's pretty sad.
