So unless you buy the game, you can't add it to your library. Great.
Seriously, try it, see if it's your deal - it's been incredibily divisive on multiple fronts, so that's fair - if it's something you'd enjoy buy it and get your freebie. If not just carry on.
1. Buy the Standard Edition for $7.49 USD
2. Add Cultures of Latin America Pack for free
3. Buy the Definitive Edition for $6.91 (which automatically removes when you already added)
Total: $14.37 USD. This is vs $15.11 USD for just buying the Definitive Edition outright.
This tells me that setting the Definitive Edition bundle discount to 50% makes it roughly equivalent (within 5%) to getting it for free. So to the OP, you're basically getting the same benefit even if it looks like you're paying for the currently free DLC.
actually.. the total would be $3.22 because the $2.50 for the deluxe add on would be included. i mentioned this in a post i made that is still on the front page.
but you are absolutely correct in the way one should purchase this game if not owning any of it previously.
all the best.
