Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Mac OS X 10.12 or higher
Processor: Intel Core i7 2.7Ghz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD Radeon460 4GB or Intel(R) Iris(TM) Plus Graphics
That being said, mac OS is just awful for gaming and often conflicts anyway, in the near future, you wont even be able to play most of the current games on a Mac OS, since they will transition to ARM.
All in all.. you would be better of making a bootcamp. The best solution right now for people that are not "forced" into having a Mac computer (a overpriced PC) or chose to have it for other reasons, is to make their own computer (cheaply) then install both Win and Mac OS on it.. and if you prefer Linux as well.
But again. the above states the minimum requirements for Mac OS systems. Expect issues if trying to use mods or during updates.
Gaming aside, there is no Windows laptop that can compete with the value of an M1 Macbook Air at that price point. Calling an M1 Macbook "overpriced" is just ridiculous.
Are you being serious?....
It is comparable to (name any brand with Win or Linux) that has a 1050ti or more (a huge budget graphics card!!! and 8 gb of ram, with a regular 256gb ssd. The CPU is great for single core operations, but people forget how the MAC OS utilize the system.. (there is a reason why you often need much more ram and cpu on games for Mac than Win/linux.
Anyway.. Cost in my region would be around 1k-1.1k Euro (different regions different prices)
At the same price, I would be able to get a MSI laptop with a I7 11800H, a 16gb of ram (same speeds, actually this one have better timings and again double the ram) 1gb SSD (faster than in the M1) and a RTX3060
Just to list the difference between a budget 1050ti (that is ancient tech by now) and a new gen avarage GPU.. a 3060 is like over twice as fast as the ancient budget card that is a 1050ti.. In effective speeds, it would be over 300% better..
Game comparisons by the two systems.. A M1 would run PUBG at around 45-55 FPS the MSI for same prince, 160-180 FPS..
The Mac would be better at other things ofc... but gaming... no... never.. its effective a school laptop, if you wanna use equivelents... it would do great for programs that only rely on processing ofc..But gaming.... no...
Just shows that people have litterly no clue about hardware or what they are buying.
We are debating gaming here after all.... not other usages. It is like trying to argue a helicopter is better at flying, than a bicycle, but what you need is something that can drive on the ground....... Again.. for gaming, it is not a good choice.. The OP is asking about gaming! Minimum specs in this game are no issue for the M1 ofc, albeit it might struggle at recommended.
It is overpriced for gaming, also overpriced for many other things, albeit not the biggest culprits in terms of Apple products, that we can agree on.. If I was doing only heavy processing programs, then it would be a good buy.
I literally started the comment with "Gaming aside".
I know, but we are debating why Mac OS and often the hardware accompanied are overprice in terms of gaming.. This is a gaming forum and the OP is talking about the game.
If you look at my first post here, I provide the OP with what he/she is looking for and I also makes sure to mention that Apple os often conflicts with gaming, that is true.. With the whole ARM scenario, this will change even more.. But. Apple is great for many things, much better than win and linux (everything has pro/cons)
Again.. the M1 should be fine "requirements wise" for the minimum requirements.
That's not really true either. Just buy the same components and put linux on it.
Sure lmao
Just thank you sir.
Personally, I like a good life story. Helps counteract the dehumanization of humanity that's happening by staring at names on a screen as opposed to faces.
@Darkie:
If the system requirements had helped here, I would not have asked. I asked for M1 / Mojave support, if you can't contribute to this subject, please stay quiet, thank you.
