Trade Supply Issues

I should be gtting +9 dye. But I only get +6 due to -3 supply issues. What does that mean? I cant find anything that indicates this from any screen in game.

Perhaps its that the route has been disturbed, it should appear a notification if not mistaken? Perhaps some Independent People is ransacking the route, or perhaps there is a war going on that is affecting it.

Just turned on my save.

Supply issues are represented as a red staggered line in the trade map overlay, which you can access through a button on the bottom left of the screen.

From what I understand, it's usually because of war situations where traderoutes are going through regions that are actively contested by warring parties.
