tech tree feel out of order?
Is it just me, or does it feel like some tech's is all out of order and time?

Like tech for weapons/war lagging far behind like science etc?

Got examples? You have a wide variety to pick from and can focus on beeline to better units if that is what you want/need. But you need to know what leads to which so you can run the tree that direction.

Guess I'm just used to the tech tree of like civ games. Where it make a bit more sense? Like going into muskets at the same time you take first steps of flying seems just odd.

civ, you mean the game where the united states of america is a small island where the first pyramids were built? you can research civ techs out of order too -- all it takes is going deep down one branch without going any farther in another for a long time. That is what you are doing here too. Should aircraft depend on gunpowder technology being known? Realistically, probably. But there is nothing tying them together scientifically. Did you know the first flyers in war actually threw bricks and shot pistols at each other at times?

Doesn't really feel that bad to me, but I do tend to stick around in era until I have maybe one, two techs left to research (and sometimes even stay a couple of more turns when there's nothing left at all). There's some dead-end techs that can be skipped, by accident or not, and picked back up at awkward spot timeline-wise, but nothing really stands out, imo, aside of that weird spot between Industrial and Contemporary where you can have a mix of Line Infantry, Machine Guns and Tanks walking around without even really hopping around the tech tree or going too far ahead.
