disband unit or city?

How can I disband a unit, theyre too much and expensive for me atm.

second, can i disband or destroy a city?

click on the unit you want to disband(if they're in an army you will need to click the specific unit in the army) and there should be 4 buttons in their menu and one of them is a disband button. When you disband a unit in a territory you control it gives that outpost or city one pop so it's good if you have some extra early game scouts you no longer need.

I don't think you can destroy one of your cities but later you can have it be assimilated by another one of your cities.

Or, can grant it independence with the Liberate button.

If its a city that you just assimilated or conquered you can have your army ransack it. When the ransack is over you get goodies and the city and all the districts it had built become ruins.

As others have said you can ransack your city and other destroying it leaving ruins. This can be done on your won cities as well if you so desire

wonderful. at least I have a back up plan for when cities are becoming too costly now too. thanks guys
