Unfortunately, since the last update, AI's will just attack you and won't let you siege, so you are probably just getting a regular battle window without realizing there would have been an option for siege.
Matthew, sir, I don't see any new siege window opening, like you said, I am just getting a regular battle window. So it that a bug or the way it is intended to work? I just don't know myself.
Usually they won't touch a fight unless they have a fair shot. Sometimes they'll even retreat if odds are even. The exception is when they're contesting unclaimed territory that they want. They'll take the loss if it means holding you at bay a while longer.
AOM, sir somehow when I attacked a city last time, it did say a trebuchet would be made in 4 turns if I recall correctly. I haven't actually seen any siege weapons though. Also, in one of my cities, where I built walls, the wall is broken in one hex. I don't know if it is a graphics glitch though. If the enemy breaches one of my walls with a siege weapon but loses the battle, how do I get the wall back up? Does it automatically build back up next turn?
