Also: That video is awesome! The old Civ Alpha Centauri game pretty much has the best board to play on, in terms of it dynamic reactions to player choices.
It's a shame they decided it wasn't important enough.
We can still hope something will come in the future with modding or DLC!
But because this is an important topic, we do not want to rush it, which is why it may not be present at release.
I mean it's not that they think it's not important enough, just that it would take a lot of work to implement it in a way that's compelling and fun within the game, better not have it in the game at all than have it half a$$ed.
