Civ would be my second favorite game series after Total War. I know the point is for humanity to advance through the ages but these options feel a little awkward. Would be nice if all factions do some kind of objectives or war quests then start on another age, whoever manages to accomplish them or survive moves on to the next phase/match. Like playing different matches with the same faction, one in each era !
I also would like to play in specific eras!!! I think some kind of option in new game settings would work well here. One option would allow us to choose starting era (e.g. medieval age), while the other one would let us choose the ending era (e.g. industrial era). I really wish it was implemented in Civ 6. It would add new ways to play and enjoy the game. You won't be able to win science victory in such a game, but I think devs could come up with some kind of new victory conditions in games limited to specific eras.
Will Humankind include scenarios similar to those in Civ 6? Will there be additional game modes and/or campaigns alongside main sandbox mode?
