stuck in childbed

after defeating eye giant, I dont think I can continue with my current abilities. What am I missing? Double jump, double air dash, directional dash, pul yourself toward something? Which one of these am I missing?

Giant of Eyes is an optional mid-late game boss, you can explore the area early after or before beating Vulture, but the next main boss you need to defeat to advance is Fidus at the top of the Carven Palace, it lets you sort of pull yourself towards objects.

I think I'm stuck at the same spot, more or less. When I first got to Carven Palace I couldn't find a way to continue so I explored a little elsewhere and got stuck on GoE. Definitely felt underpowered against it so I wondered if I wasn't quite supposed to be there just yet.

I'll go back to the Palace tomorrow to take another look as I must have missed something. But weirdly, the marker on the map is pointing me down, east of Childbed/Garden, so that's a bit of a mixed signal.

edit: Got it. Didn't realize at first that you could pull the platform up.
