Recommended area order?
Is there a route through the areas that most players recommend? As it stands I've gone through the early game to Worldpillar, gone down and killed the feaster then went straight to the carven palace where the boss is proving to be quite the brick wall.

I only have 1 healing pearl and one breath slot but I haven't been able to track down any more breath minibosses or nacres.

Theres one nacre bug in the right of lithic that I can get to run away but have no idea where it goes

The game is pretty linear, so the order you went through sounds just about right. There's two optional areas you should be able to access by now, one of which has a boss that drops a very useful ability, but they're all argurably harder than Carven Palace and you might not be able to fully explore them without the ability the Palace's boss gives you.

I don't remember the locations of the nacres, but there's enough breath minibosses before Carven Palace to almost max out your breath bars. Which ones have you found so far?

I believe I've only fought the harmless rockgiant and the jaw crab so far. Would greatly appreciate hints towards more breath capacity!

After getting the pull, even before taking the lift to the World Pillar, you could've return to the Desert surrogate and use pull to fight the one miniboss up there.

Again, with the pull, down in changed Lithic, there's access to another area and another miniboss. I believe they both give breath capacity upgrade.

You probably want to do Gloomnest and Yr Den before Shapely Fidus. In addition to Desert Watcher there is Jawstag (Gloomnest) and Grieving Rockgiant (Lithic, but probably save that one for last since they've buffed it quite a bit)

I went ahead and did gloomnest and beat Fidus. Haven't exployed yr den yet but I found my way down to the childbed and would really like to grab the centipede whip asap. Is there a way to get to it without killing the bosses down here?

that i dont know, i just started a new playthrough the other day now that there's the dlc. Pre-DLC there were no bosses in Garden. It seems like that area changed quite a bit.
