Been using the glaive recently so I may swap between that and the lamp if it pays off.
Oh so the light attacks stack on the enemy and then the heavy attack detonates and does damage based on how many attacks were stacked?
It's all good. Thank you!
Thanks for confirming this. I'm going to give the lamp weapons a try next time I play.
Bonegrinder and Glaive are the only decent other weapons.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the first weapon we get in the game, the Maul Axe, is also the best weapon.
Very decent damage for its speed, good moveset. I'm switching between Stone Fists, Yr Glaive and the axe, and I gotta say, the axe is just too good.
Str weapon is basically garbage.
I think dev should try to balance the Str Wpn more, as in reducing the attack speed to make them worthwhile. Otherwise, the enemy will just stomp you if you stay immobilized for too long.
I agree quality (favor dex after 5str/5dex) is best. After getting to 5/5 for glaive, get favor (stamina) up to 9-10 and try to absorb the favor buff creature too. I just unlocked the needle (shortly after mother fight) and although it requires 8dex/5str it scales better than glaive and is pretty fun.
The key in this game is to get up to 9-10 stamina so you can dodge, attack and move without getting caught.
Also, while the damage seems good on paper, 30 hits of any weapon do about similar damage. I will stick with it now and see where it takes me, but I have yet to be convinced that it was the right choice.
Either way, I'm all for buffing them back up a bit again after making sure there isn't any more super insane 2shot OP STR builds like before. I don't mind admitting I may have overnerfed if that is indeed the case.
One last thing! There is currently a bug making it take longer for players to level up than we first intended to. This will be fixed in the next patch (1.0.4), which should consequently also buff weapon damage via scaling.
Will we get retroactive experience/levels then? Thanks for your hard work, I'm really enjoying the game.
