Zodiac Riddle: Taurus B bugged?

I'm trying to get the achievement for the Taurus B riddle, which reads: "I took a dozen quick breaks".
Should be easy enough, just pause the game in a level for 12 times and resume playing. Every achievement guide says to do this, but I simple can't seem to get it done.
I tried it on multiple levels, tried different timings of the breaks and between the breaks but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone have a tip for me? Is there anything I'm missing?

After you start any level, quickly press menu button on your Xbox controller repeatedly, it should be unlocked pretty easy. That's how I got it.
