Audio problems

I just started playing and I'm mostly enjoying the game, but I'm having a significant problem with the audio stuttering and getting all crunchy and choppy. That or it pretty much cuts out completely. If I quit and restart the game it fixes it for a while, but it doesn't take too long before it gets all messed up again. Due to the way saving works I can rarely quit as soon as the audio goes bad so I just have to suffer through it until I get to a good save point. The game is running fine otherwise, so it's not a CPU/memory/graphics issue.

If it had only happened once or twice I wouldn't say anything, but it's happened after a certain amount of time almost every time I've opened the game.

I never had an audio issue with this game and I’ve played it both on my gaming pc with speakers and headset, and steam deck on handheld and docked modes. This is the first audio issue I’m seeing in this hub as well.

Have you ran into any other audio issues with other games? Just seeing if you’ve covered all your bases. Somewhat unrelated issue I had with my Nintendo Switch dock recently going black screen randomly-turns out the hdmi cable has gone bad.

Can you confirm that this problem only occurs on Chef Life?

Did you tried reinstalling the game?

I have the same problem. Yes, I tried reinstalling the game several times and checked the integrity of the game files. I've never had any problems with sound on my computer before. You can try to fix this bug if you reset the settings 10-15 times, but sometimes it doesn't help either. And yes, there is no sound in the game, but there is in the system.

I have the same issue, everything else is working only with Chef Life not.

For me it fixed the sound issues to reset Audio options to default values. After that everything worked as normal.
