Plating soup...

It's kinda frustrating. I have bowls to plate the soup in, but one of the required ingredients is a sauce, and I can't put both in at the same time, let alone put a sauce bowl in the center of the soup bowl. (It just doesn't let me.)
I end up plating the soup on a regular plate, and it's a bit absurd, just a splash of soup that might as well be a decorative sauce and not the main dish.
Sorry for the dumb question, but is there a proper way to do this?? Plz help.

Your question isn't very clear. Sauce in soups? Are you talking about a specific recipe? The default setting should work just fine. When you customize the plating, you should be able to switch plates in the first step. In the end all of that doesn't really matter. The game can't tell how aesthetically pleasing it is. Fulfill the required amounts and screw around until you're happy - that's all that counts.

I know it sounds odd. I need to get back to you on which recipe it was, but all I remember is there were two liquids in the recipe, and the second one was not optional. They both HAD to be in the same plate, but like I said, soup bowls only allow me one at a time. It's actually pretty absurd.
But, like I said, let me check my game for the dish and I'll get back to you (Sorry, I should have written that one down, but it was late and I was sleepy ^_^0)

I wouldn't think too hard about that if I were you. This game is riddled with questionable design choices, oversights and bugs. Yours might be just one for the pile. I'm moving on, sorry.
