Game not loading

When I open the game, it gets past the 'KFC Presents, A Psyop Production' and then leaves me on a white screen. I decided to look into the output log text file, and found this:

WindowsVideoMedia error 0xc00d36b4 while reading C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/ILYCS/ILYCS_Data/resources.resource

Context: Setting media type for first video stream
Error details: The data specified for the media type is invalid, inconsistent, or not supported by this object.

I've tried what I can to fix the game; such as deleting the files, verifying the game files (When I launch the game, a file changes), and reinstalling the game. I have checked the discussions, and there is not a single answer in here that has worked for my issue

I have this same issue. I had to do something with the video codecs or something for MGSV on my computer about a week ago, but I'm not sure if this could be a related issue.

yeah honestly, i'm gonna post my thing here-

although it's not as technical (at least i hope it isn't...) my game is a bit laggy too: the opening sequence is choppy and barely finishes, even when nothing else is open.

if anyone can help, that would be great!

If you've verified your cache already, the game's data should be ok. Therefore it might be an issue with the audio/video codecs you've got installed on your PC. I'm not sure exactly which codec is failing, but It may be possible to fix it by installing the basic K-Lite codec pack. Here's the link:

Happened to me, too, but then after I waited for, like, a LONG time, it finally chugged through the intro (I'm sure I only saw the last half-ish), then the game ran almost okay.

So I fixed the issue accidentally when I updated to the latest version of windows 10. Not sure if that will help everyone, but it might help a few people
