Yes, we're still working on more content. There's more to come during Early Access, roadmap: https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/14375-early-access-roadmap/
A few additional notes:
- We do have an "ending" you can reach (a special final building to build, so to speak), but at that moment we don't end the game (as there is no story ending), and let you continue playing. From there it's endless.
- For replayability, we have an "Hostility Modifier System", which when in use, makes you play the game in a very different and way more difficult way. For example berries won't grow, or temperature is globally colder and much more... This way you have to adapt your strategies to be able to survive until the final mark. + there are achievements you can unlock which will take some time.
About bugs: I think we did a good job ironing out the most ones the game is very stable. We'll improve the game with QoL improvements, but we already got lots of them implemented thanks to good feedback from the community before release as well as in the first few month of EA.
I hope this helps a bit. If others have more to share, please post here as well :)
Cheers,
Markus
thanks a bunch!
Hoping for more events and expanded tech tree.
I am kinda split if I want human raiders or not, I imagine them coming in on rustic kite / hang glider and stealing from stocks, slowing us down with massive caltrops / defenses. I dont think it's that kinda game though. .what's next, canon mounts? lol enjoy the peaceful vibe, hopefully more ways to engage other than combat.
Maybe we will find a mate for our boy in the final lol
Sure you could increase difficulty but I feel like the mechanics are pretty shallow and limited any increase in difficulty only comes from bigger/smaller numbers. Which is to be expected I mean this is basically a small part of Rimworld.
Not to say it's a bad game, it plays and run very well but more like a mobile game. I'd rather buy and play this on my iPad if there was the option.
We have a very wide range of players, therefore we have adjusted the difficulty modes to match this. If you can fill your storage with resources and everything is a breeze, then definitely play on a more difficult mode. I would highly suggest to use the hostility modifiers, because this changes up the game in a big way. The game gets very difficult if you enable enough of those modifiers.
The idea is not to have a easy game for everyone. We try to have a game which can be played and enjoyed by a wide range of people. If people want more challenge, then we definitely want to provide this.
If you start a new run with veteran and a few hostility modifiers, please let me know if this is more to what you expect from this game :)
Thanks a lot and cheers,
Markus
