The Wandering Village

Imbalance with spore clouds and negative environment.
I started playing again after a few months, did everything right IMO. But it's like the game puts you in a bad scenario when you pull through again and again. It sent me to large spore clouds again and again, no matter where I turned.

2 decontaminators and 2 village doctors, fully employed. Didn't stand a chance. Bile extractor hurts the beast too much and they seem to use 1 per plant. The spread is too fast for them since they need to run around.

Clouds or mushrooms? For how many Villagers? Edit: I ask, because you can dodge the cloud spores but not the mushrooms.

Sometimes it works better to prioritise harvest the spores near your berries

yeah really needs balance, even if you prioritise doctors and decontaminators there`s nothing you can do if you hit a spore cloud.
I'm surprised that some people are having problems - it isn't that severe on my side?
Lots of unemployed people to act as cutters, then manually issue a cut command to every infected thing in the village. You NEED a lot of unassigned workers to pick up these tasks, don't have everyone assigned to a building.

Or...just have them in the work house as general workers...or even better, designated as harvesters? They will walk faster as well.

People are getting stuck on this "unemployed workers", and I'm not sure why. Seen it several times.

Because I found it better to have unassigned workers that can do it all. 20 - 30 unassigned people can cut down a huge number of infected plants, and still be available to keep things running. Having a building just to make them workers isn't needed.
I personally prefer having a few worker posts to manage my general laborers. They aren't expensive to build, they provide an ongoing speed boost, and theymake it very easy to reprioritize in the event of a disaster. "Okay, everybody go fix stuff."

Exactly right ^_^
now is to easy, try pause the game :squirtheh:
i cant handle the poison spore too.. its hilarious how fast they grow.. and my workers over 22 cant do anything.. i paused food production and so and.. but ther ware "idlers" i dont know how this can happen when i put some buildings to higher personal and there stands searching.. stonecutter and woodenplank dudes are ultra slow.. so it feels liek everything get slower.. and the poison stuff run out of controll.. from 6 its explode to 140 :'D i stopped the game.. was the same probleme month ago.. anoying

Same here. I had one 30-death poison spiral but it was my own fault - I hadn't expanded my herbalists to fit a bigger population.

For me, it's food distribution that's unbalanced; all my workers seem to love prioritising the farthest possible food source they can think of, even when there are a billion things to eat right next to them...

Pause the game, find every spore / toxic plant and set it to be harvested and give it the highest priority. Thing is with just 22 workers... you're going to have to shut down all or most things. Has to be done quickly since any worker that gets poisoned badly won't be able to even move.

Worker Huts set to Harvester / General will help them move a bit faster too. But any contact with the spores will poison the workers slowly... need Doctors/Herbs for that and so on...

e.g. you have Berries which can be made into Berry Muesli. So if a 'customer' has had Berries recently... he'll want the Muesli now. Even if there is a pile of Berries at his feet and the nearest Muesly is all the way across Onbu's back -.-

And yeah, you kinda do want more varieties of food. It can add up to 15% more productivity if you have most (not even all) of the food varities.
Maybe it's changed but I remember just sending all my workers to destroy the mushrooms/spores along with my decontaminators and never had any issues.
