Keyboard/mouse issure

Having a couple issures and was wondering if anyone had ideas to fix:
1. the mouse pointer is displahying/selecting the button an inch or so above where it actual is.
2. is there no way to invert or adjust mouse look spped.

ALso having some slight performance issues, not sure if that is part of the problem as well,

The performance issue is part of it. The game checks for a controller regularly and if you don't have a controller attached to the system then it causes performance issues. There is a way to get the game to detect a controller regardless, but I'm not too sure. There should be mentions of it in other threads on this board. I have never needed to do this since I am a filthy controller user.

For 1, is your monitor set to anything other that 100% DPI scaling? The game isn't DPI aware, so it could be bringing the cursor in to a virtualised position that doesn't match the intended position. It is best to force DPI awareness on for these games, and you can do that by browsing to the game directory and finding it in the executable's properties.

For 2, have you checked the game camera settings? There should be options to invert camera controls and sensitivity there.
