Does AI Use Healing Magic?
As a devout follower of the Holy Trinity, I was eager to place Klaudia in my party and have a dedicated healer (See ya Tao! Nerd!).

I don't think I've ever seen her heal, though, unless I move over and manually control her which is annoying.

She seems like an Ideal Support character and I even have her in the Support role. Does she ever heal without me manual selecting the spell? Or why else would I use her over Tao?

I would say the games wants you to switch characters, and how it's intended to be played. Use your attack or skill, then switch to the character who's turn it coming up again the soonest. However, on most difficulties it's not necessary at all.

So with that out of the way, characters won't automatically use their skills from the menu, that I've seen. This is why the support skills exist. So if you want characters to heal you without having to control them, you want to look into what support skills the characters you want in your party have and how to trigger them reliably.

That aside, Klaudia is good for more than just healing. She is really fast, and so she can attack frequently. This makes her very versatile for whatever you want her doing, because her speed compensates for a lot. I haven't used Tao from the moment Klaudia joined. Tao doesn't even want to take part in battle, so it's a win for him too. The real choice is between Klaudia and the 3rd backline character who joins near the end of the game, IMO.

Hmmm, I see. Thanks for clarifying that!

I think the only way to get Klaudia to heal using a support skill is with her "Normal Support." I don't think I've ever even seen that one, I think some game guides say they come up when HP is really low?

Yeah I actually I haven't had it go off either. It think it has to do with the game as balanced. Form what I've found you're either completely unprepared and the enemies and taking out your charaters in 1-3 hits, or through the miracles of alchemy they can barely touch you. If things are threatening enough where you need to heal, you're probably healing at half health or else you'll die in the next hit. So the circumstances where you're hanging out there with low health are exceedingly rare.

On another note, you will eventually get full party heal items, and they are way better than Klaudia's healing skill. But Klaudia is one of the best item healers, since her high speed helps her recover from item use faster, and she starts out with more item slots than other characters.

AI can heal but only through Support Action, and only when you're really low on HP (low enough for character to change their idle stance).

Ah I see, I see.
This clarifies the mechanics and some, thanks guys c:
The game descriptions are pretty vague or sometimes not even there at all.
