If you played Final Fantasy games, you can expect something similar in Ryza's fight system. That means you need haste to use your turn when it comes, or enemy can take advantage of theirs, dealing more damage to you than you to them.
Game gets an active time system and now ppl act like they never heard of such a thing! ( not ppl in tgis thread per say. )
U like tb myself. But I'm willing to overlook and hope for the best. Real time with pause isnt the worst thing in. A full action game may be really bad for this fanchise though.
Biggest complaint I have about ryzas combat is the lack of camera work. Fancy camera work in combat can make it more exciting. Its lacking in ryza compared to some prior games.
pause is optional ofc. a lot of people are just playing it full active time. but if you want to manipulate what each unit does, you can leverage the pause.
you can see it a few times in this guys video but at 44 and 50ish minutes. steam isn't accepting the time stamp T_T
