Exp and gold boost

Just a general question but is a cheat trainer currently the only way to boost xp and gold and if so whats the most easiest cheat trainer to use that works for the game?

I've heard there are some trainers for it but comments on them seem to suggest they only work on very specific versions of the game.

Currently your best bet is to load up a hex-editor tool, open your save file and change the values manually.

Gold and XP are both 4-byte values. XP can be found by searching for the hex address 434, and gold can be found at 484. Be mindful how high you set those values, if it gets too large then it'll overflow into negatives or 0.

Yeah I never used Cheat Engine before but I downloaded it for second playthroughs and finding the XP and Gold variable was pretty straightforward.

Never used a hex editor so would not have clue on use , not too savy on that stuff.

Hex editors aren't all too different from searching for addresses in Cheat Engine. That is to say, it helps knowing the value of the variable and the datatype before searching.

Anyways, yeah you could use Cheat Engine, you're just searching for the amount you have, change that value by using some points, then searching for the new value. The datatype should be 4 byte.

I did come across this which is near enough what I'm after https://www.wemod.com/cheats/kingdom-under-fire-the-crusaders-trainers just hope they add EXP at somepoint.

I can't get the values to change in-game for my Exp. I'm following the cheat engine tutorial but i get really lost at Step 8 onwards I can't get my head around it all. Do i change all those values that pop up it finds around 4000 different addresses in the left screen. I'm probably someone who just needs a button to add more Exp and gold.
