The Crusaders and Heroes had the perfect blend of authenticity, grittiness and fantasy in its art style, which was pretty groundbreaking for me back in 2004. The presence of chainmail and gambeson was awesome, especially considering the typical approach to fantasy aesthetic even nowadays.
@Cresimir I agree wholeheartedly. KUF, Warhammer, and the Souls series are my staples of what I like to see of fantasy, and I was very disappointed when I saw the nu KUF II look versus the original footage showed 10 years ago.
