Controller not working

I have two Logitech controllers and neither works with the game. I got up to date drivers etc... I even went as far as using the Logitech Profiler but that didn't help either. Tried both Direct Input and XInput too on the wireless one. Not quite sure what else I can try here...

Hi there, I hope this helps. The issue I had was with Steam. So right click on the game in your library, click on Properties, then controller. Then click on the underlined text that says "Controller General Settings" This will then open up another window.

I switched OFF Guide Button Focuses Steam
ON For Playstation
ON for XBOX
OFF for Switch Pro
ON for Generic Gamepad

And then I had a working controller in the game.
(I am using an XBOX One controller, but also had trouble getting a generic, and XBOX 360 controller working... the above seemed to resolve the issue... Now I can finally play this awesome game the way it was meant to be played... With a controller...

I came to this solution as I was having intermittent cutout issues with another controller in another game, and found out that steam almost acts as a "middleman" when it comes to controllers and interfacing them with your games.... So I tried that solution here, and bingo, problem solved.
