Well, let me say that the quality of these "cookie cutter" type house we have here in Canada which command over a half million dollars for price easily need new roofs, windows all sort of items as close to 5 years after being built.

As for tools I think of how my house was built in 1964 and been through hell and back. I only bring this up because of the term modern tools. A true craftsman can build a house with the basic tools a shovel, hammer, level, cement mixer, wheel barrel, trowel, lighting, maybe a lift of some sort if it's just one person building which I assume this will be. And above all else great materials. As we all know it starts with a great base. Then when you get into electrical and plumbing, screw drivers, plumbing wrenches, etc. If you really need any further inspiration and you happen to have a Home Depot type store in your area. Go the the rental section as the person what tools are most required on a job site for building a quality home. or building for that matter.

Anyways I'm a disabled bus driver and have absolute zero skills in building anything so take it for what you will.

But I do want this game. For said above reason. The only cost will for me will be the purchase of the game. Not buy materials etc and having the wind blow 3 of my sheds away lmao

Wow, seriously after 5 years they need renovation? :O That's surprising! We are from middle Europe - Poland, and here houses are built solid for at least few family generations.

Yeah, we are in contact with specialists. There are so many modern tools, that it's shocking. As you said, basic tools could be enough. Right now we are adding basics, but who knows, maybe in the future we will add this complicated hi-tech tools also. Thank you for inspiration!

We will do our best to make a good simulator, hope you will have a fun with this game. :)

Yeah that sounds like a great way to do it. Knowing the basics is best. When you have budget issues. Yeah co-worker bought a town house. The roof and the windows were the first to go after 5 years just around 8 year all the tile in the kitchen popped it can be a pretty shady operation over here in Canada surprisingly. It's all this pre-fab stuff that's slapped together. I don't have a problem with that. But if you do not use quality materials and we are so short on tradespeople, well it makes for shabby jobs. I know our government was a while ago trying to entice lots of Europeans tradesman to come to Canada.

See these dummies here in Government and education kept preaching oh you got to go to University or life is over. They forgot that we need to maintain a industry to maintain homes, buildings etc. A plumber can charge almost the same rate and hour as a lawyer. So just goes to show you the non-sense of preaching school. Sure you need Universities but not for everyone. And with this pandemic we don't have any industry to sustain or health products it's all made in China. I predicted this in the 90's and I was only 18. But I knew you can't have all your industry in another country. That's just as fools paradise.

Anyways thanks and look forward to the game!

as a former framer, i'd suggest maybe the ability to have/buy air compressor and nail guns. laser for leveling the footers. some kind of lift(upgrade) for getting material on roofs, installing high windows.

So sorry to hear that :(

You know, in Poland we've got the same attitude. Almost 50% of young adults finished Universities. It's a tragedy indeed because we don't have many good specialists like builders, plumbers etc. 10 years ago when I was in college one of the teacher said to my friend " You are so terrible, that you are only suitable for digging trenches". I met him recently and asked what are you doing for life, and he said "You know, as this old witch said - I'm digging trenches!" :D He've got his own building company and he's the richest one from our class right now. I couldn't stop laughing! :steamhappy:

Thank you too for nice talk and histories. Have a good day and stay healthy!

We don't have an exact date. The demo version will be sooner for sure :steamhappy: Don't worry, better wait and make a good game, then make it fast just to collect cash.

i've played a lot of simulators by playway and other studious and i love in depth things, and customization. so to be able to choose to upgrade tools, maybe even things that help customization and gameplay. Whatever it will be will be good, as the game will be built for a while, just like the name entails. you must build your game to perfection with the community's help than become another EA, right? :)

It will be hard to build perfect game, since perfection could have different meanings for each player. For sure we will do our best and we will listen closely to community feedback. :)
