  Note: Shadowgrounds: Survivor requires both PhysX[www.nvidia.com] and PhysX Legacy[www.nvidia.com] drivers to work. Lacking these is the most common reason for issues with Shadowgrounds: Survivor. If however installing/reinstalling them does not work, please check the above link for more common solutions.

I think I found the reason of crashes after some levels [and the cure against it]. Hope, my method will be helpfull for all, if anyone else ever plays this good old game)... I played SG-S from the compact disk over 10 years ago, and there was the same problem. And I faced this problem now - in SG-S from Steam.
To avoid crash after missions "Backups Missing", "Canyon to Hell" and [sometimes] after some of the last 3 missions when you choose Luke Marine as your character, try just don't shoot from Luke's pistol. I've noticed, that crashes occure mostly after missions with Luke. And I think, that it is bug, since the days when the game first came out... The bug, connected with "target lock" upgrade of the Luke's pistol. Don't do this upgrade, or just don't use the pistol, if you face with crash after missions, when you played as Luke Marine [more specificly, when you press "start" to the next one mission]. And [this is quite important too] try do not kill hiding [or hidden] monsters until they come out on their own. It is connected with the "target lock" thing, because Luke pistol's "target lock" can help you kill hidden aliens prematurely. Which, I think, breaks the game a little. And causes a crash after such missions.
When I bought SG-S in Steam, I hoped that this old bug with target lock will be cured by Steam' developers, but unfortunately it doesn't...

Yeah, this game doesnt work for me period.. good thing i got it for cheap..

Yeah I've tried all the suggestions for both games twice now on 2 different PCs (at different times) and have never got one of them to launch at all.

Yeah I downloaded the stuff. The first game just has the procedure error. The second game downloads the two things and then verifying needs to add an extra file but then still no good.

It's a real shame the games don't work at all. Look fun.

My game failed to load as well...yet when I stuck the LEGACY physX download on everything went fine! Win10 64bit I7 1070

Nope, I dont remember which driver, but U have to install him.
