lure pills didn't boost stats (Max's Tape)

In Sound MindIn In Sound Mind (Max's Tape), once I mix chemical stuff and create lure pills, then I should take once of these pills to makes me faster and be able to pass the gate before it closes.

I am doing the steps like: 1- press the button. 2- take the lure pill. 3- Run/Sprint to the opend gate before it closed again.

The problem, I fails always, it give me a boost but so little and even when I sprint, i reach too late after gate is closed. I watch million vidos in youtube on how to do it, it works for everyone but not for me!!

I have no idea what is the problem, is it bug?

Update: solution simple, just to lower /downgrade the video settings

I am playing this on a Geforce 750 Ti. I recently had to replay that tape to get all the leftover pills. My FPS isn't 60 and I manage to complete that. Maybe there is something missing for you? Are you lacking a few speed pills, maybe?

I couldn't do it either and lowering the video settings did work like a charm.
