key in wall.
I found what i think is the gate key for the opening the other side of the fire area. It says i need something from town to get it out. Ive been everywhere in this town, where and what do i need?

was it the key on top of the houses? i got that one out but not sure what the pre-requisite was, if any - it just let me obtain it.
do you have the pickaxe or helped the blacksmith lady?

Do you mean by ''fire area'' FIRST area? So in Starspire?
To my knowledge, you do not need anything to grab it.

Will ask the Devs to be sure.

Ya the first town you get to out of the tutorial dungeon, starspire. A guard at the gate says the key was lost so i have to go around. I found the key on the side of the cliff near the top. When i click on it it says the key is just out of reach but you can find something in town to use to retrieve it. I cant figure out how to get the key out .

where do i get a pickaxe? that might be the issue.

The wandering blacksmith lady has a side quest that'll reward you with the pickaxe.

there's some dude along one of the 'hidden' side paths near the base of the town - think its near one of the bridges / ladder next to bridge - you'll follow it and it'll trigger some dialogue. continue and you'll encounter some dude standing next to a glow tree thing. he'll give you a hammer (that i thought he gave someone down at the docks) - give that hammer to blacksmith, she rewards you with pick axe.

I quickly played through it.
It says you need something to ''widen the crack'' its to narrow.
After getting the Pickaxe you can ''chip away'' at the wall and grab it. :)

To get the Pickaxe you need get the Hammer first.
If you go past the forge, all the way to the bridge area , there is a ladder going down, follow that road and it will bring you to someone with the hammer.

Ok, i found it. Its weird something important is not listed as a quest and the location of the person that gives the pick axe quest is in a odd spot.
for anyone that stumbles here look for a spot that has little blue sparkles and follow that trail to the end.

Yeah, this is kinda poorly designed, IMO. Not necessarily because it's a bit hidden, but the camera is kinda weird and you can't really see the ladder. Even stopping to investigate after reading this, I STILL missed it then somehow spotted a corner of it peaking past the bridge on my way back

Same with trying to look around the areas when you're not familiar and searching for landmarks. You can't really see much of anything that isn't ~5 Ft in front of you. Generally speaking, and for future reference, I have no issues with this type of thing but I feel it doesn't really help here and a normal view would serve better

Game seems pretty fun, though. I only bother to comment because otherwise it's been pretty fun to play

thank you! i'm glad you are enjoying the game! I'll add this to a suggestions list to see if we cant get some more clarity on this. the only issue is the voice acting is complete. but maybe we can do something to pull your eye to the ladder or give direct directions in the journal.
