Question Re Fence, Wolves and Bears ,

Hi all. is the a fence that will keep wolves and bears off my ranch

as far a i know you can build a fence all the way around your ranch to keep them out, i have friends hat have done that

Can they fit through a small gaps where the fence does not butt up to a building wall

You can put up a fence, nothing's stopping you there, but I've got about 800-900 hours of playtime on that game and I've never had a predator on my ranch. So I don't think a fence is required, so I don't build one. But if you'd like to, go for it. I'm just not sure that it'll do the job you expect because the game already does that. Deer can be on the ranch, but it seems that predators aren't. The closest I've seen a predator is a wolf right near the car salesman.

I had 2 wolves show up on my ranch before the map changed, I think it was days before that update and I had played a lot before and after that with no more. They could have removed that small chance or I was one of the rare few who had that happen. It is a possibility, but I'd say just make sure your animals a in a pasture/barn and they should be fine. The wolves ran around the outside of the fence following the movement of the animals that were staying out of their attack range. It was honestly funny to watch and my animals didn't take any damage. I got hurt more trying to kill the wolves then the pigs and cattle did.

Not only will the wolves wander up the driveway into the ranch, wolves spawn up in the southwest corner of the map where you go for the dagger. That is part of the ranch. I have a wolf hunting cabin built up there that ended up right next to the dagger when they added it. I have had one of those wolves wander down the hill by the field that is closest to them.
