Ok bit confused. I have very good system and GPU keeps over heating for this game on medium settings?

Ok I have not played in while just got back. And had settings on medium. Was going to put all on epic but wanted to play first lol Was in hurry.

Well long story short i start tutorial and get to the barn.. And my fans kicked on and went nutts. MIS showed my temp at 83C O.o I was playing farming simulator on all epic right before switched games. I should not be over heating on medium settings. At first i thought maybe WAS epic settings but when checked.. nope they are medium preset. Anyone have any instight into why this is happening? PC is up to date and above recommended hardware.

Have you tried capping your FPS at 60 in the game settings? This worked for me. For some reason, the better the graphics card you have, the harder this game wants to push it.

Hmm no i did not try that. One thing that was annoying me was only option had was borderless or windowed. I know its old school but i like full screen dedicated :-) I will try later. Just surprised me in negative way when I saw my temps sky rocket so fast. Also since was on medium settings settings i did not expect it to push hardware at all.

ive been having this issue too. Except it then completely freezes my pc. Lol to the point i threatened to throw it out the window

I didnt let it get that far. So not sure. Once it hit 78 my monitor software sends out audio signal. at 80 fans kick in.. at 83C i turned game off. So not sure how much higher it would of gone. Didnt want to risk it.

Turning on FSR or DLSS and limiting frame rate to 60fps often helps a lot, especially with higher end graphics card.
Without a frame rate limit the game will push the card as hard as possible which can cause some issues.

I didnt see way to limit FPS if recall it was greyed out. I havent tried playing since ran into the issue. I admit part of it was due to anger over my "high end" pc having such a major issue with game. Had high expectations for game which didnt help :-)

At some point i will retry game and try find way to limit FPS. Im bit surprised as some games my GPU hits 300 FPS with no issues. And usage values with in reason even on demanding games. Ark ascended on max settings. Max ultra settings in farming simulator. And others.. So going by normal game experience I expected similar here. Even CPU and PSU all with in working limits and fine. Just GPU off the charts.

But i will try to limit FPS and see.

Its UE5, you wont be anywhere close to 300 fps in this game, i have mine set to epic on a 3080 with a 5800x3d, and i can maintain about 75-80 fps on a 3440x 1440 panel. your on a 4k panel with a 4080 i would expect you would cap out around 70 fps also. secondly 82 deg on a 4080 card thats OC is not that hot really. turn your voltage down and try that.

Oh dont expect 300 FPS here. Just on some small games it hit those numbers with out heating. But thats hard to gauge since not all games the same honestly.

It came OC from factory. I didnt change it my self. I do have MSI so might use that to under volt it. But I try not to change things as I end up forgetting and go to diferent game and end up with a mess lol

I can "and think i did" lower Res setting. Im not hooked on 4K. But dont remember if made difference or not. I want to say didnt... Also in past have lost graphics cards from them over heating. So 76 is my max I like to hit. 80 and hearing fans kicks in worries me lol Though if recall I even saw CPU hitting 70+ temps for some reason.

If the FPS setting is grey out, usually this just means one hasn't been selected. You should still be able to set an FPS limit though

Just turning game on heats up PC... in menu it goes from 36C to 60C and didnt even START playing. 1920 x 1440 and gets warm... I want to like game but honestly this is rediculous. A MENU shouldnt try to push a PC. I set FPS to 60. And still running at 60 in menu before starting game.

I have hundreds of games and not one goes over 40C in menu before running a game. Even ARK Ascended doesnt do this. And I am on MEDIUM settings with motion blur turned off. While i typed this I have seen my temp hitting 64C.

There is no way my system should be running like this on medium settings in the menu. I am going to try one last time to play.. I will return with what temps I hit while playing in few minutes.

Ok its staying on 60C. But following tutorial to destroy the mattress.. it says hold tabe and shows 4 options.. when i do it i do not see trash can icon and i have like 6 or 7 options. Steering is horrible and keep crashing...

Is this a EA game and i didnt realize it?
